Aloha! 

I'm Ciara, Owner, Creator and Designer of Lehua's Hair Goods. 

 

You might be wondering, who is Lehua?! Well, thats me! Lehua comes from my middle name Lehuanani which means pretty Lehua in the Hawaiian language. 

Back in 2010, my friend taught me to sew. I was obsessed with these wire top knot headbands that were from American Apparel. They were pretty expensive back in that day and I was like hmmm, I can make this myself! So I learned how to sew them and eventually decided to make a bunch and sell them at my first market. 

I sold 2 at that market and that was the beginning of my entrepreneurial career. The thought of someone supporting my business was so heart warming. I made something and now someone is going to have a piece of me in their life wherever they go.

Over the years, I've created multiple businesses, dabbling in rave wear, women's wear, and lastly balloons (I know, out of left field) 

I've learned a lot along the way especially about my creativity.

Lehua's Hair Goods is so special to me because I am going back to wear it all started, hair accessories. This is a full circle moment for me. 

I want to create a handmade hair accessory brand that represents where I come from and what living in Hawai'i means to me. From the beautiful views to the aloha shown by people all around, my home inspires me everyday. 

Supporting handmade also means supporting small businesses, artists, and local makers who pour their time and energy into their craft. It’s not just about wearing something beautiful—it’s about wearing something meaningful! 

It is my hope that you enjoy your products made from high quality fabrics that will last years.
